What I expected of this show was a few minutes of laughter, or at least of sneering and what I got was exactly that. Mangaka san to Assistant san was not as funny as Nichijou, not even as funny as Tonari no Seki kun, but at least as much as 30 sain no hooken taiiku, it gave a lot of questionably screenshots (most of which may be found on my anime screenshots blog.
All in all the show was okay, funny and nicely done, therefore I rate it a 7-7.5/10
