Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni

I’m not sure I’m over the shock yet. Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni is just so overwhelming that these two hours feel like I’ve been watching it the whole day. The story starts seemingly innocently, showing the ways of a girl who is a bit silly, but who is really really good at drawing. Then she is married to a boy she has no idea who is, but otherwise seem alright. And so and so the story drifts slowly more and more into the realities and then horrors of war, its little reliefs and its tragedies. As the dates went by I couldn’t help but fear the date when the nuke was dropped and its aftermath.

I couldn’t just handle all that emotion that Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni gave and I admit manly that I had a few drops of tear here and there.

With all the above Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni has a perfectly told story while its art is flawless too, therefore a clean 10/10 rating is well deserved, so I recommend you watching it.

  1. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch this, but your review and score have me intrigued.

    • Definitely. It’s not as heartbreaking as grave of fireflies, instead it has a more slice of life approach, which turned out perfectly well
